Democrat lawmakers in Springfield seem hell bent on referring to their graduated or "progressive" income tax scheme as "Fair Tax" legislation. Why? Well, as explained at a January 15 gathering, research and polling done by The New Media Firm showed that the term 'Fair Tax' resonated with the general public much better than the more accurate description: ‘graduated income tax’
