Illinois Review: Taxpayers to Gov Quinn: What about the rest of us?

Illinois Review: Taxpayers to Gov Quinn: What about the rest of us?

IR above reviews the Sun Times Editorial on Quinn's EITC changes.
There's no question what this last-minute EITC doubling is all about. It is the Democrats pandering to low-income Illinois taxpayers. The Dems wanted to muffle at leat some of their angry constituents that will be hit on April 15th.

In the meantime any household that doesn't fit within the EITC's narrow boundaries, get ready for more taxpayer back pain. More than ever before, Illinois' tax burden is on you. 67% more on you, with no relief in sight. And don't forget local property tax hike, the 88% toll increase as well as local sales tax spikes.

So, Democrats that control the Illinois legislature and the governorship, what about the rest of us?
Not to mention the breaks for CME and Sears (AON next?). And the State's still sinking in a fiscal morass.
