Obama really shone yesterday when he spoke before that audience. He promised $30 billion in military assistance for Israel and said, "Any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognised, defensible borders." Okay. But then he said, "And Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and must remain undivided," he said to rapturous clapping and cheering.

Is he really unaware that the international community does not recognize the entire city as the capital of Israel? Does he know that the United States, the country he plans to lead, has its embassy in Tel Aviv?

Nothing half-way about Obama, when he flips he really flips.
