Elephants in Academia: Using the example of the past to elucidate the present

The Elephant on Rumsfeld's speech at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Museum and Library. I haven't read it yet either and will also link it later.
Elephants in Academia: Using the example of the past to elucidate the present History will of course be the ultimate judge of Donald Rumsfeld, and from today's performance he does not fear its assessment. At the conclusion of his story about the Korean journalist asking about sending troops to Iraq, Rumsfeld said that she 'got it.' I do hope this speech gets the attention it deserves, and that Americans who have the eyes to see the historical framework he provided for the Global War on Terror will 'get it' as well.
