WHY NOT THE MURTHA PROPOSAL? Here's what strikes me as the salient question right now. Why won't the Republicans force a vote on the Murtha proposal - a phased withdrawal over six months - rather than "immediate" withdrawal?Great, you go tell an American Soldier or Iraqi Patriot to stick it out for six months. If the war is wrong, it's wrong. If not, fight it until Iraq a stable Democracy.
