Given all we hear about Bush bringing a theocracy upon us, it's funny more people don't question Bobby Rush's involvment with the Church (he runs one).
Hastert and Rush will travel together to China during Congress's August break. I hope they talk about an opponent to Daley.

Good point and one that isn't asked very loudly.
You can't tell the difference between good old-fashioned Chicago graft, nepotism, and corruption, and the president giving excessive influence over law to a group with extreme and narrow religious interpretations of morality?

Good point. Ditto with Meeks. What about Davis & the Moonies?
You mean Danny Davis plunking a crown on Rev Moon's head?
I try not to judge this stuff. I don't want to judge anyone's religion. I'm the last person to judge that.
Makes you wonder about folks who accuss Bush of bring a theocracy to the US though.
Maybe anon 2:39 PM's "old-fashioned Chicago graft, nepotism, and corruption" is at work here. That's something we can judge.
I like Danny Davis though. Not his politics so much by I've always liked Davis. My wife sang in a Christmas pagent were Davis read from the Bible and he must sound exactly like the voice of God. He's incredible that way. Too bad about his politics though.
Do you try to misunderstand the point behind asking Roberts about his faith?
